Havana’s Owner, Peter Donat, has been managing successful restaurants for over 20 years! Pete opened Havana’s in March of 2009. Havana’s serves up fresh local seafood, hand cut steaks and pastas. With two locations to serve you (Carolina Beach & Wilmington), Havana’s provides a great dinning experience. Our friendly service and polished island atmosphere will make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. We created an island restaurant where you can show up in flip flops or dress to impress and enjoy a great chef prepared meal for any occasion. If you are here with one special person or here with a large group, Havana’s is a great restaurant choice! We focus on your dining experience to the point that we hope it is one of the best parts of your week. Our great management staff and trained employees are here for you. Havana’s District Manager, Michael Magee, has over 15 years running great restaurants. Mike has been part of the Havana’s family since the Spring of 2012. His experiences with Darden, Applebee’s International and Blue Ribbon Holdings, have developed his attention to all of the details of a great night out. Our concept, “Polished Casual”, is more than a meal, it is an experience! Our recipe for a great night out includes just the right amount of perfect food, comfortable atmosphere and great friendly service. Come by and experience the difference, the Havana’s way.

Havana’s-Carolina Beach General Manager, Jamie Bryan, has been in the hospitality business for 15 years. Jamie has been a part of the Havana’s family since Spring of 2013. Growing up in South Florida, Jamie spent a lot of days on the water fishing local fare, and nights creating dining experiences for guests in a variety of settings. He has spent years learning all aspects of food service with an emphasis on local seafood and American wines. Whether it’s an island wedding, or just a weekend getaway to the beach, Havana’s Fresh Island Restaurant in Carolina Beach is a taste of freshness with the feel of the tropics right here on Pleasure Island, NC. Creating and delivering the perfect coastal dining experience is always number one to Jamie!

Chef Charles Blake Havana’s-Carolina Beach Executive Chef, Charlie Blake, the Executive Chef at Havana‚Äôs in Carolina Beach has the talent, experience and resources to cook up the freshest Seafood, Steaks and Pastas on Pleasure Island! Chef Charlie has been a part of the Havana’s family since the Spring of 2011. With years of running kitchens in Boston, Massachusetts and Wilmington, North Carolina, Chef Charlie knows what it takes to prepare great meals. Chef Charlie has won the “Peoples Choice” award at the Pleasure Island Chowder Cook Off for the past 3 years. Chef Charlie makes Freshness the first ingredient in every one of his recipes. His passion for food & competitive nature keeps him one of the Top Chefs in New Hanover County.
